The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is designed to give employees the knowledge and skills they need to handle a variety of work-related emergencies. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and specific topics such as minor cuts, grazes, splinters, and burns, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding, diabetes, asthma, fractures, strokes, anaphylactic shock, heart attacks, angina, and unconscious colleagues are covered in the course.

Depending on the results of the first aid risk assessment, some businesses may only require emergency training, in which case our one-day EFAW course is adequate, and first aiders only need the EFAW qualification.

Other companies may require more in-depth training for the FAW qualification.

Candidates will be assessed by their trainer throughout the course to ensure that all learning outcomes are met. Successful students will be awarded an FAIB-accredited EFAW qualification.
